Mark Moorman Memorial Regatta Golf Scramble

Mark Moorman Memorial Regatta Golf Scramble
At the Mark Moorman Memorial Regatta Scramble sponsored by DL Evans Bank, On The Spot Cleaning & Restoration and Project Mutual Telephone, there was plenty of sun, fun and friends. Our 1st place Gross Winners were: Idaho Central Credit Union: Daren Almond, Jason Royce, Bob Roberts, Travis Klundt. Our 1st place Net Winners were: Kloepfer Concrete: John Kloepfer, Mike Landrum, Derek Thompson, Kelly Thompson. Our 2nd place Gross Winners were: Boise Paper: Sam Yoshida, Lynn Osterhout, Brooks Bohon, Candy Ortiz. Our 2nd place Net Winners were: Taco Bandido: Ray Guiles, Diann Guiles, Frank Langer, Kip Guiles Men's Closes to the Pin was awarded to Curtis Smith, and the Women's Closest to the Pin was awarded to Bobbi Slaughter. The Men's Longest Drive winner was Tim Sanders, and the Women's Longest Drive winner was Bobbi Slaughter. Everyone had a great time on the course and we are pretty sure no one went home hungry thanks to Let's Go Dutch and the excellent lunch they provided. There was plenty to eat and do on the course while waiting to tee off thanks to our many Birdie Sponsors. There were also plenty of cool refreshments and snacks thanks to Love's Pepsi, Coke, Stoke's, Culligan, Mr. Gas. Magic Valley Distributing and Watkins Distributing. Again we want to thank our event sponsors DL Evans Bank, On the Spot Cleaning & Restoration and Project Mutual Telephone. Our Hole-In-One Sponsor: J&L Electric, Eagle Sponsors: Boise Paper, Parke View Rehabilitation and Care and Americold; Putting contest sponsor: Elite Restoration. Special thanks to all of our Birdie and Hole sponsors and all those who donated prizes. We especially want to thank all of our golfers that took time out of their schedules to spend the day with the Chamber! We look forward to having another great event next year!

Annual Installation Banquet

The Annual Installation Banquet was enjoyed by all as the new 2011 Board of Directors were installed. Also receiving awards through the night were Carleen Clayville - 2010 Volunteer of the Year; Julie Beam - 2010 Chamber Member of the Year; and Michelle Campbell - 2010 Ambassador of the Year

Mark Moorman Regatta Golf Scramble Coming Soon!
Dust off your golf shoes, polish your clubs and get ready to play golf with the Chamber! Spring time is in the air and that means Regatta weekend is right around the corner. As one of the premier golf events of the season the Chamber is honored to host the Mark Moorman Regatta Scramble and all the fun associated with it.

The Mark Moorman Regatta Scramble is always a fun day on the course and is an important fundraiser for the Chamber of Commerce. We look forward to wonderful weather and beautiful greens at this year's event!
The scramble will take place Thursday June 24th at the Burley Municipal golf course so make sure you mark your calendar and get your clubs warmed up. The field is limited to 32 teams and will be registered on a first come first serve basis so take this opportunity to get your team registered now!

If golf isn't your thing, there are a number of other ways to participate including as an event or hole sponsor, prize and giveaway donors or as volunteers. The scramble is a great way to enjoy the area, network with area business leaders and advertise your business, so don't miss out!

Team registration is $250 (prices include all green fees, cart rental for a team of four, food, fun and prizes); team and hole sponsorships additionally includes a sponsor business's sign and are $300. Call for additional sponsorship opportunities.

Women's Seminar & Expo

Women's Seminar & Expo

Spring may seem as if it's a long time away, however, it will be here before we know it.  So will the Chamber's Annual Women's Seminar and Expo.  The date has been set for April 22, 2010.  We are now seeking businesses that are interested in sponsoring the event, as well as vendors that are seeking to promote their business or product to the hundreds of women that attend the conference. Registration is now open for Chamber members to fill up the vendor spaces.

Mark your calendars and save the Date.   The Annual Banquet will be Feb. 11 at the Best Western Burley Inn. Remember, all Chamber members get 2 complimentary tickets with your paid dues.  If you have not paid your dues, get them in so you do not miss this great event.  We have added something new to the banquet this year.  Table sponsors are available for $30.
