Annual Pomerelle Star Party

Saturday, August 7th Pomerelle Mountain will be holding their Annual Star Party.

Special telescopes for solar viewing will be set up at Pomerelle lodge 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and kids can make and launch bottle rockets. Pomerelle's grill will be open for Mountain Hamburgers, dogs & ice cold beverages.

Chris Anderson (CSI Herrett Center) will give a talk at 7:30 p.m. on "Our Summer Sky's".

Ride to the top of the triple chair at dusk (8:30 to 9:00), view the stars through telescopes. Night viewing will run 9:00 p.m. to midnight. Pomerelle Mountain offers an enhanced opportunity to view the stars. This will be great fun for the entire family!

Cost: $8 chairlift ride - 13 years of age and older.

$5 chairlift ride - 7 - 12 years of age.

Children 6 years and younger are free when accompanied by a parent

 Children must be under parental supervision at all times. This is a mountain experience, temperatures are considerably cooler, dress warmly, wear shoes & bring a jacket. Please fit all flashlights with a red filter to protect night vision.
