Bring a partner and join the University of Idaho Extension Educators for a fun day of home canning, freezing and drying on July 19th at the Cassia Couty Extension Office. The workshop will start at 10:00 AM and end at 3:00 PM. Participants will receive food preservation handbooks, lot of hands-on experience and an opportunity to have fun and learn about food preservation techniques and equipment. The schedule for the day is: 10:00 AM Equipment and Food Safety; 11:15 Session I; 12:30 Session II and 2:15 Session III. You will need to bring a sack lunch. Snacks will be provided on breaks. Class size is limited, so call now at 878-9461 to pre-register by July 16th. Cost is $35 per team.
