Plan your summer now...The Triple Chairlift operates for scenic rides!!
Pomerelle's summit is 9,000 feet and offers a panoramic view of the Magic Valley and beyond. Ride to the top and choose one of three ways down, ride, hike or mountain bike. The Triple Chairlift is equipped to take your Mountain Bike to the top. Bring your family and make it a day of hiking or biking the Pomerelle and Lake Cleveland areas. Mountain bikers are required to wear a helmet and closed toe shoes. At the lodge challenge friends and family to a game of horseshoes and volleyball.

Summer Operation:
Weekends - Saturday & Sunday, Noon to 6:00 p.m.,
through Labor Day, Monday - September 6th

All Day Summer Lift Passes:
Adults - $20 (13 Years of Age & Older)
Youth - $15 (7 to 12 Years of Age)
Children 6 Years and Under ride free accompanied by a parent.

Single Rides:
Adults - $8 (13 Years of Age & Older)
Youth - $5 (7 to 12 Years of Age)
Children 6 Years and Under ride free accompanied by a parent.

Outdoor Grill:
Open Noon to 6:00 p.m. - Saturday & Sundays & Monday Labor Day September 6th. Pomerelle's Grill serves juicy 1/2 lb. & 1/4 lb. Burgers, hotdogs, polish dogs with all the condiments & "Juan Donkey Specials". To quench your thirst, cold drinks, domestic and import beers and wine are available, plus the crowd-pleasing ice cream! Come enjoy the outdoor deck with tables and umbrellas as you enjoy your food and drink or take your food to your favorite mountain meadow for a picnic.

Dena of Ranch House Chocolates will share her secrets behind making delicious chocolate dipped treats. Learn how to create delicious chocolate covered strawberries, apples, and pretzels. Each student will get a chance to make these treats to take home. Sorry, Dena won't be giving out her delicious chocolate recipe, but she will show you how fun and easy it can be to make homemade gifts and snacks that will impress your friends.

Boy Scouts of America go into meetings for Tiger Cubs, Wolfs, Bears, and Eagles Scouts at the Methodist Church in Burley off of 27th Ave.  It is very fun for the boys and their families.  The young men work hard and experience new life skills, after they achieve requirements they will earn their badges for their uniforms.  It is a proud moment for all!  If you or someone you know are interested in attending these meeting, please contact John Paul the Den Master at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Pressure Canner Gauge Testing (1:30 pm - 2:30 pm)
The University of Idaho recommends having your dial gauges tested annually for accuracy.  Gauges will be tested on Wednesday, August 4th at the Minidoka County Fair in the McGreggor Building, Rupert, Idaho.  The cost is $4.00.  Bring your lid with gauge anytime between 1:30 - 4:30 PM.  For more information, contact the Cassia County Extension Office at 878-9461.

Annual Pomerelle Star Party (All Day)

Annual Pomerelle Star Party

Saturday, August 7th Pomerelle Mountain will be holding their Annual Star Party.

Special telescopes for solar viewing will be set up at Pomerelle lodge 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and kids can make and launch bottle rockets. Pomerelle's grill will be open for Mountain Hamburgers, dogs & ice cold beverages.

Chris Anderson (CSI Herrett Center) will give a talk at 7:30 p.m. on "Our Summer Sky's".

Ride to the top of the triple chair at dusk (8:30 to 9:00), view the stars through telescopes. Night viewing will run 9:00 p.m. to midnight. Pomerelle Mountain offers an enhanced opportunity to view the stars. This will be great fun for the entire family!

Cost: $8 chairlift ride - 13 years of age and older.

DeMary Library in Rupert is having a fun and exciting youth reading program starting July 21st and ending on August 11th!  Geared specifically for 6th, 7th and 8th graders, this program will work to broaden the reading interests of our youth!  There will be a pizza party for all participants as well as the chance to win prizes and movie tickets!   The first meeting will be held on July 21st at 5:30 p.m. at the Library, please plan on attending! The Triple Chairlift is equipped to take your Mountain Bike to the top. Bring your family and make it a day of hiking or biking the Pomerelle and Lake Cleveland areas. Mountain bikers are required to wear a helmet and closed toe shoes. At the lodge challenge friends and family to a game of horseshoes and volleyball.

Boy Scouts Of America (7:00 pm - 8:00 pm)

It seems like everyone has a digital camera, but could you be taking better pictures? This course is for people that have Digital Point and Shoot compact cameras with a fixed lens and will cover the basic camera operational modes such as: understanding ISO and white balance, setting the ISO, working with the white balance. We will also start to decode the various modes of operation such as we discuss when to use the manual, automatic, sports, close-up or action settings and the built in flash.
